January 25, 2020

Can you believe it is 2020?

It’s hard to believe Christmas was a month ago. A month ago we were indulging in Christmas goodies and traditions.

I tend to hold on to Christmas longer than most. I may actually be watching a Christmas movie as I type 😉 I love the Christmas carols, Christmas movies, traditional Christmas baking, buying gifts, and kindness that seems more apparent during the Christmas season. It’s January, time speeds up again and we are focused on our New Year’s goals.

Why is it that those goals include: loose weight, exercise more, get organized, more focused, save more, make more….. but not generally more Christmas? But why not? Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Last year we started a plan to celebrate like Christmas on the 25th of each month last year. We made donations, mailed cards, took toys the the animal shelter, made Christmas cookies, and watched Christmas movies. And then we packed quickly for a cross country move before school started in August. Sadly did not get back to our 25th tradition until today! We made this chili and watched Christmas movies that we recorded last month 🎄

So as I am slowly navigating the new year my goals are to see God in all things, discover my spiritual gifts, and yes get organized. Moving quickly across country equals lots of boxes in the garage that need to be opened and organized…at some point this year 😬

Until next time friends!

💓,

Julie
