If we ever needed Advent it is NOW. In this year of unexpected challenges, heart break, and isolation. Advent means the coming. The coming of Christ. We wait with anticipation for the coming of Christ. We celebrate His birth and hope for His return someday. We mark this season with several traditions. The Advent wreath, The Jesse tree, The Advent calendar, and this year Advent for Everyone. We plant paperwhites watching them turn from bulbs to flowers during advent. Even as we are all at home observing this season alone we are all united in the Hope of Christmas.

When Braxton was in preschool her Sunday school teacher sent home a paperwhite in a plastic cup to watch it transform during advent with a card I’ve kept all these years. In fact I made my own to keep her sweet tradition going.
PAPERWHITE NARCISSUS: An Advent Flower
During Advent, we wait and prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus. While we wait, enjoy watching your bulbs change into beautiful flowers.

A great gift to share during the Advent season.

No matter how you observe Advent there is a place for all of us this season. We seek that hope, peace, joy, and love that is not only the Spirit of Christmas but in Christ all year long.
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:24-25.
Much love this Advent Season,
Julie
