When I saw the bread from Passtime Cook on Instagram I knew I had to make it. Since she mentioned she didn’t love the herbs and walnut combination in the original recipe. So I decided to use my favorite herb, Rosemary! It is a simple and delicious recipe!

ROSEMARY WALNUT BATTER BREAD
Adapted from Pasttime Cook @pas.ttimecook
1 cup milk, scalded
1 Tablespoon organic sugar
1 Tablespoon monkfruit
1 Tablespoon salt
6 teaspoons dry yeast
I cup warm water (110-112 degrees)
4 Tablespoons chopped Fresh Rosemary
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
4 1/2 cups sifted flour
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

INSTRUCTIONS
Mix milk, sugars and salt and cool slightly. In large bowl, sprinkle yeast over water; stir until dissolved. Blend in milk mixture, herbs, garlic and flour; beat vigorously for 2 minutes, or until batter is satiny. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 45 minutes.

Add walnuts and stir batter down. Beat vigorously with spoon about 1 minute. Pour into lightly greased 1½-quart casserole. Bake uncovered al 375 degrees for 1 hour, then Turn out of casserole.

Enjoy,
Julie

PS: let me know if you make this and if you swap out your favorite herbs and walnuts!
