Tonight we celebrated Wina’s 7th birthday. We talked about what we thought it might be like in East Indonesia. We realized after googling that it’s 8:30am on the 12th there. We were late! We wondered if her cards we mailed months ago made it on time.

We know that we take for granted things Wina will never know. We hope she got to pick out something special with her birthday money. We hope some day to meet Wina. Until then we pray for her knowing God loves all of his children across the world.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” Matthew 19:14

We are thankful for the opportunity to add Wina to our family. We are excited to see the work Compassion International is doing. And someday Lord willing we will meet her.
